Dr. C S Srinivasa Raju is Chief Interventional Cardiologist and Director of the Cardiac Cath Lab at Bollineni Superspeciality Hospital in Nellore. He has been at Bollineni since 2000, prior to which he spent two years as Consultant Cardiologist at Mahavir Hospital, Hyderabad.

Dr. Srinivasa Raju has had an excellent academic record, having bagged the University First Rank and Gold Medal in Biochemistry at the MBBS exam and also obtaining First Rank in Forensic Medicine. He topped the state in the DM Cardiology entrance test, and has also won several awards for his contribution to the medical profession in Nellore over the years. Dr. Raju completed the MBBS programme in 1989 from SV Medical College, Tirupati. He then obtained an MD in General Medicine from the same college in 1993. Later, in 1998, he was conferred the DM (Cardiology) superspeciality title at Nizams Institute of Medical Sciences in Hyderabad.

Dr. Srinivasa Raju was a pioneer in performing all types of cardiac interventions in Nellore and has more than 16,500 interventional procedures to his credit, including coronary angiograms, angioplasties, stenting, permanent pacemakers and balloon valvuloplasties. He was the first to implant an Automatic Implantable Cardiac Defibrillator (AICD), at a district headquarters outside the state capital (Hyderabad).

Dr. Raju has conducted more than 100 free cardiac camps and treated 1,30,000 outpatients in the Cardiology Department. He is the Medical Director of a voluntary service organisation, "Chinnari Heart Foundation", which has successfully performed 140 congenital heart surgeries and cardiac catheterisations on children, free of cost.
Dr. Raju actively participates in public Heart Education programmes for the prevention of heart diseases in Nellore and neighbouring districts. His areas of interest are Interventional Cardiology and Preventive Cardiology.
